Carol and Dean’s oldest son, Joe, and
his wife, Amy, live in
Syracuse with one child,
Olivia, born 12/3/04. Daughter, Beth, and her
husband, Doug, live in Calgary,
Alberta,
Canada with
their two children; Adam (21), and Jenna (18). Son, Michael, and his wife,
Pat, live in Wagga Wagga,
New South Wales. She says Michael was born in
Australia
when they lived there in 1973.
Carol was an RN for many years,
mainly in pediatrics in Syracuse,
NY,
Omaha,
NE, and
Calgary,
Alberta,
Canada. Carol and Dean moved to
Australia
in 1972, then to Calgary
in 1975 with the same company.
She took a stained glass course while living in
Calgary that caused a
change of direction for the rest of her life. They moved back to
Australia
in 1980 and started a stained glass business there. After returning to the
USA
in 1992, they set up a stained glass business in their home. They focus mainly on repair
and restoration of church windows, but they do all aspects of glass
work, teach classes, and have developed several web sites. Carol’s other interests
include gardening, playing the keyboard, and learning to play the
guitar. She says, “As
you can see from the section above about my children, we have a
child living in each country that we lived in. We think of it as good
planning – vacation destinations without having to worry about
accommodations”. Carol
tells us they are sorry they won’t be able to make the reunion as
her husband has his 50th reunion as well, and they will
be traveling to Iowa
to attend there. She
hopes everyone has a great time and looks forward to seeing
