Patricia and Larry have two
children. Jack
Douglas (46) is single, lives in Greencastle and works as a
supervisor in a large warehousing operation in
Plainfield,
IN. Cynthia Lee (42) is
married to John Wise and lives in
Greenville
PA. Cindy has her PhD from
Notre Dame
University. They both teach at
Thiel
College.
About 2 ½ years after Pat
and Larry were married, they moved
to New
Mexico. Then they went on to make
their home in Ohio for
awhile before moving to Greencastle,
IN. Pat finished college and
received her MA at DePauw
University in Greencastle
where Larry taught for 40 years. She taught elementary school
for 25 years and was head of the math department for fourth, fifth,
and sixth grades for several years, and then the last four, she was
a reading specialist with the Reading Recovery Program. Pat and Larry are both now
retired. They lived a
year in Athens,
Greece back in
1986 while Larry was an adviser for DePauw students studying in
Greece. She says she has visited
Greece
four times since. She
still gets back to the Kenmore area yearly as one sister lives in
Buffalo, and they still have a summer place in Canada, about ten
miles up from the Peace Bridge. Pat is very involved with a
women’s barbershop chorus now.
They competed last June (2004), and are getting ready for
competition this June (2005) in
Chicago. Pat says she still keeps in
pretty regular contact with Joan Root Richards, also from class of
’55.
