Phyllis is married to James Reese and
they have raised two sons.
Jim, Jr., married to Michele, has two children; Taylor (8)
and Ryan (6). He
manages the Bowling Pro Shop at Lancaster Lanes. He has been active in
bowling since the age of five.
Right now he has sixty-six "300" games to his
credit. Son, Mark
Reese, married to Mary, has two children; Meghan (7) and Elizabeth
(5). He is into
telecommunications for Verizon and is a computer whiz. He was able to get Phyllis
“computerized”.
Phyllis tells us she keeps busy
with many organizations and interests; Homemakers, Prayer Group,
Red Hat Society, Altar Rosary Society and secretary of a Miniature
Club. Her husband is
retired. He worked for
several companies – Allied Chemical, Olin Chemical, and 3M Division
of Ocello. Phyllis and
Jim volunteer at a nursing home and Shea’s Buffalo For The Performing
Arts. Also, their hobby
for the past 20 years has been dollhouses and miniatures. They have a twelve room
dollhouse that has been completely furnished and lighted. It has a chimney that
smokes, a doorbell that rings, and a fountain that spews real
water. Her husband does
all the building and lighting and she does the painting and décor of
the individual rooms.
They also have 12 room boxes, some of which contain a sweet
shop, a Christmas room, pet shop and a museum that includes a
miniature version of Michaelangelo’s painting of the Sistine Chapel
on the ceiling of the room.
Their most recent project was a replica of the inside of
their Blessed Sacrament Church, complete with a handmade doll
fashioned to resemble their priest. It was entered into a miniature competition and
they were surprised and pleased to have it win "Best of Show". Phyllis says, “I would love
to hear from anyone that would like to reminisce about the old days
and would be interested in your life since high school. E-mail me at minireesep@aol.com.
She adds “warmest wishes to all, for love and good health, as
that is what life is all about.”
